It's Been A Week!

Monday: Left work early, sick.

Tuesday: Off work, still sick, witnessed a Democrat be sworn into office, BUT was able to go to the Torch Award Luncheon put on by the Better Business Bureau of Wichita Falls and was able to see General Petraeus' wife speak, live. That was kinda cool.

Wednesday: Off work but still sick. Was late to church due to the smell of smoke in my parents' home, called the Fire Dept., waited, watched an overly large firefighter climb through a small attic opening in my old bedroom closet, laughed at him, heard him grunt, moan, and mutter "words of disgust", laughed harder, and discovered there was no fire, Thank God!

Thursday: Went to work sick and quickly realized I was the only Funeral Director for two busy funeral homes because of a scheduling misunderstanding which left me very busy... and sick.

Friday: Went to a training seminar for work, still a bit sick, but feeling better. Got off work early, had a good laugh, dealt with a problem, laughed at the problem, and slept on a couch at a friend's house (not because of a fight, but because of the girls in the youth group invading my home.)

Today: Woke up at 2:00 AM with a "Charlie Horse" in my leg, I'm sure from sleeping on a couch. Cried, went back to sleep at 4:00 AM, woke up at 9:30 AM, waited for what felt like an hour at Starbucks for a Venti White Mocha and drove home to an empty house. All the girls went shopping in Grapevine. and I just realized I'm not quite well yet. Wonder why?

Tonight: The Annual Iowa Park Chamber Banquet. A yearly gathering of city businesses and citizens, one big joyous event of eatting, award giving, door prize winning, a 3 hour bundle of fun.

Tomorrow: Church... ahhhh, Finally!

What was that about the holidays being over and things slowing down??
