Made Day

It was a rainy day. I was working. Working ever so hard, and working up an appetite. For those who know me well, you know that I should have been born Mexican because that is about all I ever eat. This day was no different. I had slaved away all morning long and decided I wanted some fast food Mexican nachos, not in the least bit healthy but who's counting?

Taco Casa is a place I was introduced to by Kim several years back in Fort Worth. Actually, it was Saginaw, commonly referred to as Saginasty. Anyway, I didn't really like the food there but Kim did, so... I went, like any good boyfriend would. Turns out, I liked their nachos but that was about it.

I work in Wichita Falls at a place, commonly referred to as the nut house by those who work there... okay, well I call it that anyway. It is a nice place, located two and three quarter miles from the nearest Mexican 99 cent heart attack, which happens to be Taco Casa.

Chandler is one of my dogs, commonly referred to as Chan, Chanbo, grouchy old man, and stupid dog. He has nothing to do with this story.

I left the funeral home in sort of a weird mood, the nut house will do it to you at times. It was raining, dreary and cool; the perfect weather for eating fast cheese nachos with jalepenos! I pulled up to Taco Casa, which had it's usual line around through the drive thru, and I waited. I noticed a person just pulling out of the carwash, which I thought was weird, seeing as it had been raining for several days at this point. That person, though strange, also has nothing to do with this story, BUT when I pulled up to the menu, my day was made.

"Welcome to Taco Casa! Will this be for here or to go?" asked the speaker girl who was taking my order. Mind you, I was in the drive thru... what else would it be for? So, being the sarcastic person that I am, feeling ever so thrilled at the opportunity presented, I simply replied, "here." There was a long, "Why did I say that?" pause on the other end and simply a sheepish, "May I take your order please?"

My day was made. I posted it to Facebook, told EVERYBODY and was quite happy that this Taco Casa Girl had just made my day.
