My Gratitude

Well, now that I am back home from Thanksgiving at my parents and then Kim's parents, I can now write my Gratitude blog to a very special person in my life, Linda. (Sorry about the picture Linda, it's the only one I have on my computer.)
Linda is my aunt. We often joke about her being my #1 Aunt, sorry Donna, you're still #2, and I know we joke about it, but the more I think of it, it is so true.

Linda has always been a giver, no matter her own "status" in life. She hasn't always had what she does now, but you know how they always say, you can't out give God; well, she's a perfect example of that statement. She always gives, unselfishly, to anyone she sees in need. I really do think that is the reason she's so blessed now, and I don't just mean financially. I remember our last Faith Mission meal and service, when I got done moving sound equipment, I went back to the kitchen and cafeteria and there I saw her, in the serving line, giving to people who are at about the lowest point in there lives possible. I remember thinking to myself, "If these people only knew what kind of lady is serving them, they would be amazed."

Linda, you've been more like a mother to me than an aunt. You're always there when I need someone to talk to, you're always there when I need a friend, and you've always been there when I didn't know who else to turn to. You've never turned against me or shunned me, and have always shown nothing but a love more like a mother than an aunt to me. You're one of the first to drop everything, no matter how busy you are or what you have planned, just so you can help someone, ANYONE, in need and I am thankful for that. You are a true example to me and it is my prayer that I have the giving heart that you have and that I may teach my children what you have taught me, that it's better to give than to receive. I love you and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

-Farley knows he better approve this one!
