As I sit in an angered anxiety, waiting for the infamous, 4-time promised, 45 minute late plumber, who finally called at 8:16 this morning, to arrive; I have realized that I should be thanking God for today. I got an unexpected morning off, which at this rate will turn into a full day off. I'm thankful that I have a new home that I can pay out the nose to maintain. I've never quite understood that phrase, "pay out the nose." Where did that come from? Did someone actually blow money out of their nose to pay for something, or did they simply have a cold and sneezed on their dollar bill as they handed it to their service guy. I hope he was a plumber, and I hope it was a really good sneeze! Anyway, I'm thankful that I've got a bit of extra time now to clean up the mess, and to catch up on a few things that were delayed due to the unfortunate toilet/shower mishap. I've been able to work a bit on our fridge, which was leaking water due to a leaky connection to the wall. I have a dear friend from work that calls it a "Fridgidare." I always laugh in my head when I hear her say it. Don't know where that term came from, but its funny. Anyway, I've been able to clean up the walls and prep for painting in the master bath where Shane and I textured on Saturday to cover that hideous wallpaper. I've also been able to monitor Jorgie who decided last night was a grand time to become ill and vomit repeatedly on the carpet in the livingroom, hallway, extra bedroom, and something worse in the master bedroom. She sure does get sick a lot! At least she was kind enough to do it on towels that were already placed on the floor to absorb the thousands of gallons of dirty water we're paying for that so graciously soaked our carpets, for which I am home today trying so hard to be thankful.
Hopefully, by this time tomorrow, all will be well. We'll see! For now, I wait.... OH, there's the doorbell!
-approved by Farley Wells, CMDI who rushed outside to "coach" the plumbers....OH BROTHER!

Oh the joys of home ownership. Just what you wanted.Love you, #1
Hope things are going better for you today! Good news is that we have church tonight!
Hey and if you find a good (dependable) plumber... let me know.
Things are better today. All except the carpet in the master bedroom. Think we're gonna have to replace it, oh well... A good plumber would be M & D Plumbing. Once they got there, they did a GREAT job and went above and beyond what they "had" to do.
Lynn,
The Frigidaire was one of the first brands of refrigerators. It happens to be the brand of the one in my townhouse. Remeber how Paw-paw used to tell us that he had chocolates and Dr. Pepper in the "icebox"...well, kinda the samething.
