Saturday Night

For lack of a better title, there it is.... exactly what it is.... Saturday night. I'm home now, after a long day, working, running around, buying a Mother's Day Gift, and trying to sell my car. What a day it has been!
I was thinking about something that Joseph said to me last night. He was talking about how glad he was that it was the weekend and that we were able to all go eat, outside and enjoy the beautiful evening we were blessed with. I, being the 'realist' (whiner) that I am, had to say something about how it didn't matter that it was Friday night or the weekend because I would have to work all weekend anyways. He said, "Yeah, but isn't work just that much easier on a weekend, just knowing its the weekend?" At that point, I thought, "Well NO! It's HARDER," but the more I have thought about it, now that Saturday night has come to a close, I'd have to change my answer. Yes Joseph, yes it is easier working on a weekend, just knowing its the weekend. Why? Because, I know that at the end of my day working, I get to unwind, relax, and enjoy time with friends, which is something that EVERY weekend has a special place. Each weekend, whether I work or not, I look forward to being able to be with my friends and just enjoy their company. When else can all of us sit for hours and talk in circles about nothing and always wind up where we began? When else can I laugh at things worth laughing at and watch as my friend nearly ruptures a vein as he laughs at something only he found completely hilarious? When else can I just not worry about all the things from the day and focus on what truly matters; being with the ones I love so dearly, even though the one I REALLY love is not here? I'd say, YES, it is better just knowing its the weekend, and the fact that in two more days, I'll get my days off. That kinda helps!
There, I'm done rambling for the night and the allergy medicine one of my wonderful friends gave me is kicking in and before long. .......... . .. I
