For the first time in my voting "career" I'm being forced to vote for a party as apposed to principle. Since I have been of voting age, I have always been able to show what I believe with my vote. It has always been obvious what I stand for, being a Bush voter for two terms. I have always looked for someone who stood strong for what is best for the country, both politically and spiritually. Bush has always stood up for what he believes, no matter what anyone else said, did, or tried to do. He hasn't backed down or wavered from his original stand and message. Now that Huckabee is out, we are left with a man who is just about as liberal as his opponents. I had hoped and prayed that we would have a clear choice this year, like previous years, but that is not the case. Though I find McCain honorable and a war hero, I also find that some of his policies and practices STINK! He seems to be one of those who stands right in the middle of the aisle as a Senator, who doesn't know what to stand for until someone tells him what to do. I only hope that some of Bush has rubbed off on him today as he met with him at the White House.
I can only hope that John McCain will be better than the alternative and will win out as the next President of the United States of America. Who am I voting for this year? Not a person, but a party.... Republican, whether I like him or not. I have heard his middle initial is 'W' though! That's a plus!
-approved by a sad Farley Wells, CMDI who had such a grand acceptance speech prepared.

I have to say I agree with you. I hate not having a true candidate to vote for. My only hope is that he'll have sense enough to get Romney for his running mate - or maybe Huckabee.
I totally agree with you. People that are deciding not to vote because they do not like McCain, are not really thinking of the big picture, which includes Supreme Court justices, which is a lifetime appointment. Do we want super liberal justices or moderate conservative justices?
Karla - Yeah, my pick originally was Romney, then Huckabee, so hopefully he'll pick one of the two. I figure Huckabee.
Michelle - I know what you mean, you can't NOT vote. That's such a waste. Most of the people who won't vote will probably gripe about everything too! If you don't vote, don't gripe.
Lynn, I couldn't agree with you more! I guess this time around, it's the "party" that hopefully will win out instead of the person. I sure hope McCain picks Huckabee for his running mate.

I agree. Romney was my first choice, but now that he's out, oh well. I just hope and pray that McCain wins out over the other opponent, whoever it will be.
Definitely vote!!!!
LYNN, I TOO, HAVE BEEN SO UPSET ABOUT NOT HAVING A REAL CHOICE TO VOTE. BUT I DID GIVE MY VOTE FOR REPULICAN. HUCKABEE, IF I WAS GOING TO THROW MY VOTE AWAY, AT LEAST TO SOMEONE WHO IS HONORABLE. WHEN I TOOK KIM TO VOTE FOR THE FIRST TIME, I DID NOT TELL HER SHE HAD A CHOICE, I JUST TOLD HER WE WERE REPUBLICAN, AND THAT WAS HOW SHE HAD TO VOTE.LOL MOMA GINA
