Beautiful Morning

Today I was shocked at what I felt when I stepped outside the apartment to go for a morning walk. I found that it changed from summer to fall overnight! Not that this is anything out of the ordinary for North Texas, but I just don't remember ever feeling the 60's on September 1st. We have been blessed with a mild summer, no doubt. When I checked the temps, I found that, indeed it was 67 degrees!! The start of a beautiful day and evidently dove season. All I heard while I was walking were gunshots, sounded like my memories of the fall of 97 in South Houston, although, I don't think that was dove THEY were shooting! I also noticed an OVERWHELMING amount of dove in the block around the apartment. They come to town during dove season, since IP is a "Bird Sanctuary." So Kim, watch out above, the dove have been let out for their "Special Season." I wonder where they stay in "Off-season?" Do they have a training camp for the upcoming season? Hmmm....

Saturday, only two more days until I get a day off. I wish today were that day, cause I could really get some serious car washing done this morning or some serious bike riding done. Maybe Tuesday will be this nice. Hope you all have a good Saturday!
