Such TRAFFIC!!

I had a call today from one of my best friends who was in the big IP on business. He made a comment about the traffic in town, and he joked about having to wait FIVE minutes at a stop sign. Well, I hadn't noticed until then, but traffic was a bit "congested" today. Why? Well, it was a day I learned to hate as a child. The dreaded "First Day of School." It was pretty funny because I never have noticed how much our traffic in Iowa Park increases during the school year. Summertime is pretty quiet around on the streets near the funeral home, which is one block from W.F. George Middle School,(Jorgie's namesake)....just kidding. But, now that school is back in session, and business was a little slow, I noticed quite a few cars driving by. And, since school let out early, which I don't understand at all, there were kids walking, talking, and screaming their way past the funeral home, some younger ones looking cautiously at the building as they passed. Some even passing to the other side of the street. I want to just jump out the front door and scream or run out with a horrified look on my face, saying, "He sat up!!!! RUN!!!!!!" I wonder what the kids would do? I bet they'd take the next block over tomorrow.

Oh the humor of an undertaker.... almost funny.
