A Quiet Place

This is entry #4 in my "Freehand Sketch Book." I call it "A Quiet Place." Why? Because that's what it is! Duh! This is a drawing of an end table in our living room with a lamp, small picture of Kim and I, a candle in a jar, and a souvenir painting from Santa Fe, NM; all sitting in their ever so perfect place, next to the world's most comfortable chair, you can see the arm rest peeking in on the left, all waiting for time well spent: sitting, drawing, reading, or just talking with Kim, or laughing with friends. It's my place I have grown to love. It's just a simple table top, which has such a large part of our lives on it. Each item serving it's purpose to it's fullest.

The picture, that's of Kim and I at camp a year ago, what fun we had singing, spending time with friends, and reminiscing of the time we first met. The candle, well, it has a huge purpose!! Jorgie.... well, need I say more? The painted glass on a stand, that's from our 2nd Anniversary in New Mexico. Kim saw it in Santa Fe and knew we'd need it one day for the light from the window to shine through, displaying all the bright colors so pure. A quiet place, captured, for those times when things just don't seem too quiet.

Now you know why drawing is stress relief for me. Tuesday's post for thought.

-zzz.....zzz....zzz..... huh....OH, approved by Farley Wells, yYAAWwn CMDI.
