Escape School
I had said that I went to Tyler last week. Sorry Kris P., I was only allowed to eat at the training due to time constraints, but next time, I'll be able to meet up with you. Anyway, the training session was about a program we offer through the funeral homes dealing with child abduction. It's called Escape School. What do we do? We go into Elementary Schools, K - 6 and teach children how to avoid being kidnapped and if they do get into a situation like that, how to escape. It's a really beneficial program and has already been proven to help. Through our program in the past two years, two lives have been saved. Children have told authorities that they used a technique taught to them by Escape School. It is a completely free of charge event, and we do not promote our funeral homes at all. I am now "officially certified" as an instructor, even though I've been doing it for several years now. So, if you will, get the word out! Let your elementary schools know about this program. We have several lined up already and are really wanting to do more. We are having trouble getting into the WFISD so any of you who have influence in Wichita Falls, approach your leaders. We also do Boys and Girl Scouts, Campfire, Brownie's, church groups, etc. So, let me know and I'll be happy to help you out! This program is offered everywhere there is a Dignity Memorial Provider. My dad is helping out with certification classes all over the state so it's not limited to Wichita.
