Ever been stuck to the pavement? I have. Well, not me personally, but my truck has experienced this unfortunate predicament, in a recent ice storm. Quite odd, it was.
Imagine this... I went outside after a long day of work, as usual and get in my truck, as usual. I start the engine, as usual, and let it warm up nice and cozy. I put it in reverse and ease off the clutch and..... go nowhere. In fact, I go nowhere so fast that the truck dies. Funny feeling, it was.
Ever thought you were going to move and you don't, or you can't? If you have, you know the feeling. So, I do what any experienced getter unstucker does and I rock. Not rock as in guitars, but rock as in, ride the clutch, change gears, ride it some more.... and nothing happened. Frustrating feeling, it was.
I have a dog named Jorgie who lives to wag her tail. She's the only dog I've ever seen that has an actual smile on her face, non-stop! It's really quite freaky, but has absolutely nothing to do with this story, she doesn't.
Anyway, I finally, popped the clutch, floored it, and nearly ripped the axle off of the rear end of my truck, but broke free, just to drive home on what felt like square tires... unnerving feeling, it was. The End.
-approved by Farley Wells, CMDI who is somehow stuck to his desk chair... not sure how that happened.
