Another hot day today.... hehe. I'm tired of these 100+ degree days! I'm ready for my a/c to actually stop running for a little bit and be able to just enjoy a day without sweat. Only a few more weeks of it though, then it'll snow (by faith).
Anyway, I learned yesterday an interesting fact about how the funeral home in Electra, TX got started. A man came to town with the circus/carnival as a Cage Motorcycle Rider to perform. No he didn't die, and no there wasn't a tragic accident that lead to the opening of the funeral home. He was simply a man that liked Electra, when it was booming, and wanted to settle down there. Why he thought, "I'll build a funeral home", I'll never know but that's what he did. Mr. Totten opened up his funeral home and raised a son that took it over one day. Then, came along a young man who was interested in the business and went to work for the son. He later went to school, after a short tour in Vietnam, and became licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer and eventually bought his own place. You guessed it, my dad got his experience in the funeral business from a Carney Man's son.... and now you know, "the rest of the story."
-approved by Farley Wells, CMDI who just started the engine, put on his helmet and is checking the cage as I type. I sure hope he knows what he's doing!

Titles, titles, titles!!! How many times have I stressed the importance of a "catchy" title to my students over the years?! Yours, however, wins first place!
I can't believe you would even dare put that title. You know how anxious we have been. My heart starting leaping when I read the title. Now it is very sad.
