I'd like to start by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my mom! She turned ___ today!!! We had a great time this evening at my parents home in celebration. Uncle Jimmy and aunt Betty came over, John and Lori were there, Kassie, my parents, and me! Kim went to her mom's for the weekend so she didn't get to enjoy the fun. We laughed and talked and got stuffed on Kassie's and Lori's good cookin' and wound up celebrating by lantern light due to a storm knocking out the electricity. It was really nice for a while, but began to get hot quick. It wasn't long though and the power was back, just in time for my mom to open gifts.
Other than that, my day was in a "dead" run! I worked like crazy and don't even think, or feel like I sat down all day, so needless to say, I'm glad I'm home! Tonight is short and sweet, but before I go, I do want to share a picture of why I love McCain's choice for 'Veep' so much. This goes back to her "gun totin' NRA membership."
I'd say she looks like she's ready for campaigning! They say she's quite the marksperson.

I'm glad you had a nice birthday celebration with your mom. It's very thoughtful to think of her on her special day. I also LOVE the pic of McCain's veep. She looks like she can get the job done and done right! Happy belated birthday Sis. Dutton!!
