JUST A Stone's Throw Away

Here I sit, waiting. Waiting for the inevitable. Waiting for the "real" pain to hit. I was told yesterday by the doctor that the gut wrenching, knife stabbing, teeth grinding pain I feel is but a pebble from my kidney, waiting for it's time to make a dramatic exit from my body. How much fun can one person have?

Thanks to my wonderful wife giving me a shot yesterday, the pain has subsided a bit, just a gouge every five or ten minutes to remind me its still there. I feel fine other than that. Two doctors told me yesterday to walk, run, jump, do everything I could to get the thing loose so that it may pass sooner, so occasionally I have a time of random jumping. Can't run too far, can't walk too far, just jump a couple of times until I want to cry.

I am supposed to have a CAT scan here in about an hour just to let me know of the progress or to let me know that God took care of it. I'm praying for the latter. I'll write soon, when I feel better! Still a rocky road ahead..... sorry, I couldn't resist the 'punny' humor.

Lynn, so sorry you're hurting so badly! Jonathan just had a kidney stone and it sent him into orbit for several hours. He had to go to emergency to get help! If you still have it drink lots of water and make it turn loose! Hope you're feeling good soon.
