Correction

Evidently, I was wrong in my last post to point out that Joseph was wearing a wedding ring. A very wonderful lady, who shall remain nameless, pointed this out to me last night at church after she finished played the ORGAN. I was told that they wore rings in Bible days, which I figure they did, but my point is that you don't just see a manger scene everyday with wedding bands in them. Nonetheless, thank you for the correction. Although, I have a hard time believing that Davey Crockett wore a Rolex at the Alamo, oh well, I guess I'm wrong. Farley told me to post it!

Anyway, today has been fairly good to this point. I actually did something I haven't done in a while. I slept until 10 AM!! I couldn't believe it. I made a comment to Kim last night that I have just been dragging lately and felt like if I closed my eyes, I would just fall right to sleep and, I DID! Last night, we came home, I went to bed and the next thing I know, it's 10 AM.... I guess I needed to catch up or something and NO I didn't skip work, LIKE ANOTHER FUNERAL DIRECTOR did today, which almost forced me to have to work. Today is my normal day off! You should try it, my Funeral Director Friend. Taking your normal days off, or having notice of extra days off, keeps EVERYBODY happy which cuts down on morale problems. At least, that's what our employee handbook states. In my opinion, people who constantly take off from work for no apparent reason should lose the privilege of working at that job, also known as being FIRED! Which, if I'm not mistaken, IS ALSO IN OUR HANDBOOK!!! There, I got it out, now back to 'good mood.'

Since it's my day off, I found it to be the perfect day for a random picture. I LIKE THIS ONE!!! I don't know what my wife was doing, but this is the light pole out in front of our church.... kinda gross, but I guess it must have been tasty.

- approved by Farley Wells, CMDI who is scratching his head with a puzzled look on his face.

Obviously, someone "double-dog dared" her! DUH! Your wonderful wife would not do something like that without good reason!!!

I find it odd that they wore wedding rings in those days and yet wedding rings are so... how shall I say... controversal these days.

I, too understand the "ring not being in the nativity scene". I discussed this with Lynn, also. I guess we would have to check it out further if we REALLY wanted to know. :)
