Here's a pic of what Kim and I gave Amanda for her birthday. It was really for both Shane and Amanda but I couldn't wait for Christmas to give it to them. In my opinion, it's the best I've drawn thus far. The one on the left is the drawing, the right, the photo I used. I'm rather proud of it. I matted and framed it myself, thus the glare on the glass(s
orry bout that.) Only thing now is, she's pregnant and you know what that means.... a drawing of the next one to match.
Saturday, we went to the fair as I said in a previous post. We had a lot of fun looking at all of the cars and eating fried food, corn on the cob, and roasted turkey legs. We also saw what I thought was the best invention yet. It's not really an "invention" but I had just commented to Kim a week or so ago that they need to make a Jeep pick-up and....... well, look at the pic!! It is SO cool in person. I want on the waiting list for this bad boy. It's called the Gladiator and boy is that a fitting name.
Sunday, we spent most of the day with my newly 50 year old Father-in-law and my wonderful Mother-in-law, eating, running around, and just enjoying the day. After which, we went to church where I witnessed Bro. McGaha run the isles!!! This is not some 25 or 30 year old healthy man, this is a mid 60's man of God who is recovering from a blood transfusion due to Acute Leukemia. I was so blessed to see him running the isles, and not just walking or jogging, but a full fledged RUN!! Such a testimony to his faithfulness and devotion to God. Thank you Bro. McGaha. You encouraged me with your strength.
-approved by Farley Wells, CMDI who is challenging Bro. McGaha to a race..... Watch out Farley, he's a good 20 years younger than you!!

I'm impressed. I'm sure the mother's heart just melted!
