Kim came home with a gift for me from San Francisco. It's #95, for those keeping count, it's a San Francisco Giants cap. She asked if I could get the cap in Wichita Falls and I told her, yeah, but now I can say it actually came from San Francisco, which means so much more! Anyway, it's exactly the hat I wanted.
It now compliments one of my stadiums in my collection. Yeah, that's the secret part, for those who haven't visited our apartment. I am a fan of buildings, architectural design, and just structures all together, the reason I almost went into architecture.... I couldn't pass all the math you have to know but the computer does for you in the workplace. I don't get it! Why learn it all if the computer is going to figure it for you anyway? I digress. I have several mini versions of different places from the Statue of Liberty to the Twin Towers to the Capitol Building and the White House, to 17 baseball stadiums, including the then named, and what will always be named as far as I'm concerned, The Ballpark in Arlington. Don't know why they have to mess up baseball with corporate names! I also have the old Arlington Stadium where Nolan Ryan pitched for many years; also the Houston Astrodome where Nolan Ryan pitched for many years along with the newer, what is a PERFECT example of why you don't name stadiums after corporations, ENRON FIELD!!! HELLO!!!! Then there's Wrigley Field, which happens to have an original Ernie Banks signature on it. If you lift the clear dome off the top, you can still smell the Sharpie he signed it with, and then there's a few others from NY, Baltimore, Cleveland, Boston, and for my friend Bruce, ATLANTA, go Braves!
Here are a few pictures of what was then named Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco, YET ANOTHER EXAMPLE of Corporate STUPIDITY, now named AT&T Park in San Francisco, 1 of 17 stadiums on display in my room in our apartment. It's all part of a Danbury Mint Collection, of which I was member from before I got married. They sent me one every two months, but seeing other important matters after marriage, I canceled my membership. Kim did buy me one for Christmas though, it's of Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City(not pictured).
Here's a few shots of Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco, sorry about the blurriness, I couldn't get very close and keep picture quality.

The first is a shot from what it would look like if you were flying in from the Bay into the stadium. Steroid Bonds has hit a many a homerun into this spot.
Second, a shot from right field, imagine it's the fog from the Bay making it blurry... haha.
And third, if you were riding in the At&t, no wait SBC, no Cingular, no.... The NEW AT&T, or was that Pacific Bell Blimp?! Who knows!? If it makes a buck, who cares, right.........the things tax write-offs will do for a company. Once 'Dubya' ALWAYS 'Dubya' no matter what Uncle Sam gets from it.
-approved by Farley Wells, CMDI,who is thinking of changing his name for a tax deduction.
