HAWK MOTORS

I've been meaning to blog about this for a while now and haven't had a chance to take pictures until now. In "Downtown" Iowa Park, we have an old Wal-Mart, made Alco(which is a low budget K-Mart) and a closed Family Dollar Store. You know your economy is good when Family Dollar can't even make it. Thank Wal-Mart for that. You know, our friendly neighbor that Paul Harvey talks about. Well, they moved into town, promising the world to Iowa Park and then moved out of town after killing all of the smalltown vendors who were here for years. Now, we're left with being a bedroom to Wichita Falls. Anyway, enough about Wal-Mart, that's not what this blog is about. It is actually about "Hawk Motors" which is in that old parking lot. At Hawk Motors, you can pretty much "Hawk" anything you like aparently. Here's just a sampling:

First, we have the winch and hoist truck. This could make a great gift for that starter driver that just might run into something heavy he'll need to lift. What do ya say, Cameron??

Then there's the motorcycle, might be nice if there wasn't a sign on the front that says, "Needs Work." Great sales technique!!! And the horse trailer beside it, probably the nicest item up for grabs, if you can talk the previous owner into cleaning the "stuff" out of the back BEFORE you buy it!

And Last, and CERTAINLY the least. The jewel of Hawk Motors, the icon that started it all some oh..... 4 months ago. The vehicle that probably would bring some good money on eBay Motors, NOT in Iowa Park. It's the 30's model Gangsta Car. Looks like it carried a mobster who talked to much, tied up and strangled, to the bottom of the Wichita River in the 30's. What a TREASURE, Don't ya think??? Any takers?

Let me know if you want any of these vehicles and I will be THRILLED to get the info for you. It would do wonders for our lovely community. Help beautify the half vacant lot of the old Wally World, and maybe I'll get a cut of the proceeds.

The Hoist truch has to be the best... I can just see some junior/senior pulling up to the front of the school in that wonder!

In all actuallity... this is probably the sort of lot that my parents actually looked through to purchase my vehicles.

I think the tow truck and gangsta car belong together. There's a hook uo in the front of the car and if this is true I'll take both, please.
