Just thought I'd share some of my Charcoal Sketches with you. This is what I do in my spare time or if I'm really stressed out about something. The first one is of Babe Ruth, though I don't like the Yankees a bit, he began his career with the Boston Red Sox, which ended in the worst trade in baseball history. It brought on what was known as the "Curse of the Bambino", which was after Ruth left the Sox, they couldn't get anywhere close to the playoffs or a world series. Until just a couple of years ago, when they WON IT!!! Before that it had been close to 100 years of a 'drought'.
The next sketch is of my favorite, Lynn Nolan Ryan, besides
the fact that he has the coolest first name, I have always liked him because of how he was able to be a "Star" and not let it get to him. He is a great example of a family man, as well as a tremendous baseball player. One of the greatest pitchers of all time.
The third sketch is of Willie Mays. Possibly the greatest outfielder in the game at that time. He was known for his spectacular one handed catches as depicted here.
Anyway, that's my blog for the day. Now, I must go before Kim kills me. We're supposed to go to Wichita and I'm delaying the trip. Hope y'all have a good one!
